Arts Award is a framework for young people to develop their skills as artists. Arts Award is certificated by Trinity College London.
You can now complete a Discover Arts Award through Circus Central remotely! For those of you who would like to learn some new skills, be creative and gain an nationally recognised certificate for doing so, this is a great opportunity for you.
Discover Arts Award is aimed at those who are 5-11 years old and comprises three parts; Discover, Find Out and Share. You will be encouraged to take part in different activities, find out about artists and their work, and share what you have learnt with others around you, and you will be documenting what you have learnt in a work booklet created by Circus Central. It is recommended that you spend about 20 hours of time working towards completing the activities within the work booklet.
The Circus Central Award costs £12. This includes you work work booklet, online resources, 1:1 tutorials and your certificate. A Bronze Arts Award encourages young people to get creative and experience the arts. The award programme invites them to research artists that inspire them, develop their artistic skills and share their expertise and experiences with peers, friends and family. Participants create a portfolio or blog about their Bronze Arts Award journey.
Bronze Arts Award is aimed at 11-15years old (but is open to those up to 25 years) who wish to delve further into training their skills and becoming a young artist. It is a level 1 qualification on the RQF. The award consists of 1 unit, which is separated into four sections:
We guide our participants through 40 hours of circus skills training with set tasks, online classes and interactive sessions. Students are also supported to complete the required 20 hours of independent work with online check-ins for progress and portfolio development help.
